Hi, I’m Navindra, welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m fascinated by the technology that shapes our lives. I’m a Technical Product Manager at Nielsen(a media data company) with 6+ years of experience leading teams, delivering 5+ products to market that leverage large datasets to improve user engagement and decision-making for their end-users. Currently, I am exploring the world of Machine Learning(LLMs, Recommendations, etc) and how we can leverage them to improve user experience.
Product Principles
Be a fan of what you work on. This makes the user research and the discovery phase fun, as you find what the team should build next and why it’s important to do so.
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it” - Peter Drucker. Set KPIs and OKRs along the development process to ensure you are on track to meet your goals and adjust, if not.
Execution is everything - ship small and often.
Miller’s Law is essential. We live in an age where time and attention are fleeting commodities, highlighting the important takeaways when talking to stakeholders.
Never stop learning.
After graduating with a degree in Business Management from CUNY City College, I spent three years in tech sales as an Account Executive. Quickly, I became more fascinated with the product development process than with selling the end product itself. Building off of my entrepreneurship experience while in college, I joined and started a few projects to start my journey into product management and never stopped learning from there.
